Greetings My Dear Friends, In the name of our Lord and Savior and soon coming King. I have been preaching the return of Jesus Christ for over 50 years and while it has yet to happen, it does mean its closer now than it has ever been. I am truly convinced that the Rapture of the Church is near at hand. There is no sign or prophecy that is yet to be fulfilled before it occurs. The condition of our world sets the stage, in clear and convincing ways, for the Lords return to take His people Home. This is the Blessed Hope of all believers, but it is also the doom of those who are not ready. This is a compelling reason for Christian people to be busy sharing and helping others to share, the good news of the Gospel.
Most Native American Christian Leaders agree that less than 5% of Native People have been Born Again, like Jesus commanded. This would mean, that if the Lord would return today, the great majority of Native People would be left behind to face the Great White Throne Judgment, to hear the Judge say, Depart, I don’t know who you are, and be cast into a Lake of Fire. Morning Star Ministries has the primary assignment of sharing the Good News of the Gospel with Native Americans across America. For over 35 years, we have had the privilege to minister in over 40 Tribes all across America. We join lots of other ministries who also have this primary assignment upon them as well. Thank You so much for your partnership to help make it possible for us to do our part to ensure that Native People have the chance to hear the Gospel and find new life and abundant life in Jesus Christ.
It has been our pleasure for many years, to also participate in International Mission work in the Philippines, Africa, Pakistan, Myanmar, as well as other countries. Through the Andrew Locklear Memorial Fund, we assist Children’s Ministries around the world. We have been able to help provide food and clothes for Orphanages and make it possible for children to attend school. In Africa, we have been able to build 31 Church buildings for congregations who were meeting on the ground under trees. These and many other reports demonstrate how serious we are in our effort to discover and perform the Will of God as have given opportunity to do so. Your support makes it possible for us to help reach Lost at any cost. May the Good Lord bless you and multiply your joy and good health.

April 19 -24 Mission Trip A team consisting of Rev. Steve Strickland, Pastor Kelvin Locklear, Pastor Chris Webb, and Pastor Charles P. Locklear, went to Colorado and New Mexico recently to preach and teach and encourage the Church workers. On April 20-22 we were on the Ute Mountain Reservation near Cortez, Colorado. We taught subjects related to the Christian life in the morning and conducted Revival services at night. We seen people get saved, revived, and encouraged. It was truly a wonderful experience. The Ute Mountain Tribe desperately needs a local Church with a Pastor who can teach and preach the Word of God. On Sunday, April 23, we traveled 3 hours to Cuba, New Mexico, to visit with Pine Hill Baptist Church. Pine Hill is a member of the Burnt Swamp Baptist Association, where Rev. Steve Strickland serves as our Director of Missions. During the afternoon service, we Ordained Samson Castillo as the new Pastor of Pine Hill. We also Ordained the Minister of Music for the Redeemed fellowship Church, where Pastor Wesley Castillo is the Pastor. We had a fantastic time with the Church family and then traveled 2 hours to Albuquerque to spend the night before coming home on Monday. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ April 30 The Barnabas Team Met for lunch at the Country Club in Lumberton. This is a fellowship of Young Preachers who meet throughout the year to encourage each other and receive instruction related to the preaching ministry. We also have a Spring and Fall weekend retreat. We have preachers from different denominations who share in this fellowship. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The Summer Schedule includes…. Revival in New Mexico, Indian falls Creek – Davis, Oklahoma, Other opportunities are being discussed as well. Would You like to be part of a Mission trip this summer? Feel free to contact Pastor Charles for more information. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Urgent Need: We have an opportunity to help an orphanage in Myanmar, a country torn apart by civil war, that has resulted in so many orphaned children, along with many children who have been abandoned by their parents. A fantastic young couple has a ministry to help with children. They have 12 children in addition to their own they are trying to meet needs for. They need a building to house these precious children. We have helped them purchase land and now they are ready to build. If you feel a burden for this need, we welcome and encourage you to provide a special gift to help us build a building. They presently rent a house that is flooded every time heavy rain arrives. Let’s help them get a building suitable for their mission work. Would You ask your Church to help us with this special Project? Or maybe your Workplace. Who knows How God might stir hearts. Thanks for your consideration of this project. Contact us for more info.
