Operation Warm Worship

A major project for the fall of 2008 has been settled on and arrangements are being made to bring it to pass. We have been informed that many churches on the Navaho Reservation in New Mexico are heated by wood burning heaters. This form of heating is difficult because of the lack of wood and the burden of  creating and maintaining an adequate fire during the service. We feel very strongly that God has given us direction and a calling to go and install gas heaters in several churches in the Cuba,New Mexico area. Plans are being made and team members are being sought to put this project together in the month of November. Please join us in praying for God's continued direction for this major effort.

Project Warm Worship Update!!!!!!!!!!

On Sept.25. Pastor Charles Locklear and Pastor Christ Hunt, MSM leaders, went to Cuba, New Mexico to make arrangements for the Warm Worship Project in November. They were met by Pastor Wesley Castillo, A Navaho Pastor and church leader in the community. The day was spent visiting potential church sites to be included in the Heating project. Four churches were identified and We had the opportunity to visit with the Pastors of three of them. Measurements were made of the buildings and other information needed to prepare for the November installations was obtained. We will also be doing several other minor building projects as well, while we are there. This is a very worthy project and deserves our most serious attention. Other needs were discussed with the Pastors and We have begun to prepae to meet some of those needs as well.

Operation Warm Worship Update-10-26-08

Morning Star Ministries has assembled a team of 20 persons who will be going to New Mexico to complete this project on Nov. 6-7. God has made it possible for trained and talented individuals to go and install the heaters, complete some bathroom work, finish some sheetrock work along with a lot of painting. Many churches and individuals have provided the materials and the funds necessary to make this project a success. Most of the team will be flying to New Mexico, with the others driving and taking the materials. God's hand has been so evident since the very beginning of this project, and to Him be all the honor, glory and praise.

Operation Warm Worship Completed
On Nov. 6-7, 2008, a team of 22 people from Robeson and Hoke Counties in North Carolina was in the Cuba, New Mexico area to complete this major project. We were able to Install heaters in 2 churches and 2 fellowship halls. We also provided heaters for 3 other churches that will be installed by the  churches. We did renovations in both fellowship halls, completed 2 bathrooms and did a lot of painting. It was a great effort and the team worked very hard for 2 long days.  God blessed us with great weather, safe travel, safe working conditions and a warm Spirit and fellowship within the team. The Church leaders and members expressed their tremendous appreciation for the effort we made, to help them in the Ministry they provide to their communities. The addition of gas heating will enable them to do Ministry in a more productive and effective way.

THANKS to all those who helped in any way. Your prayers were very important. Your financial support was important. Your participation was important. Only Eternity itself will be able to reveal the Impact You have made in the Kingdom Of God.

 Operation Warm Worship 2

 Nov 15-18, 2009

A MSM Team was in New Mexico, distributing heaters to 6 churches on the Navaho Reservation. Many of the Churches on this Reservation have inadequate , or no heat at all. We were able to provide 2 heaters for the following churches. We are also helping these churches with the initial set-up of gas as well. This is because many of the churches are not financially able to provide for themselves. Our goal is to do a heater project every year. Your gift would be very helpful in putting these heaters to maximum use in the very near future.

 1. Victory Chapel at Toko’I which is near Shiprock. Herman Harrison, pastor, is requesting to put one in the church and the other in the youth building.

2. First Baptist at Teec Nos Pos, AZ. James Tso, pastor, is requesting that one heater go in the house where the youth meets and the other in the dining room/classroom/fellowship hall.

3. Red Mesa Christian Church, Red Mesa, AZ. Henry Tsinijinnie, pastor, is requesting that one heater go in the youth area and the other where adults and children meet.

 4. Cedar Ridge Christian Church, Oak Springs, AZ. Henry Tom, pastor, is requesting both heaters go in the sanctuary.

5. Mesa Baptist, Sanostee, NM. Rick Begay, pastor, wants heaters in the church and fellowship hall.

6. Shiprock Pentecostal Church. Wallace Begay, pastor, wants heaters in the sanctuary.

Several churches, businesses and individuals contributed to this project. As a result we were able to meet all our projected needs. This is one example of how working together, great things can be easily accomplished. We give God all the glory, honor and Praise. We also give our thanks and appreciation to all those who helped make this project a success.
